The organizing committee of ATBC 2024 is pleased to announce the call for travel and/or fee waiver  applications to support the attendance of students and early career scientists from low and middle-income countries. The grant will be up to 500 USD per successful applicants.

 

Deadline for applications: June 1st, 2024

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Funding will only be offered to students and early career scientists who have accepted abstracts either oral or poster presentation.

• The first priority will be given to students from Rwanda (with accepted abstracts)

• The second priority will be given to students from low-middle countries in the region.

• All grantees need to be willing to volunteer at least two days of their time to help during the meeting days.

• Selection will focus on the justification of why you want to attend the ATBC 2024 Meeting and how you will cover the rest of the costs of attending the meeting. Justification should be written in English, Swahili, Portuguese, French or Spanish. (maximum 400 words).

• Applicants are required to submit a budget outlining the intended use of the funds and specify if they have applied for other grants. 

• You can apply even if you have already paid for registration. If you get a registration award, we will issue a reimbursement.

• Applications will be evaluated by a committee composed of members of the Steering,  Local and Scientific Committees of ATBC 2024.

• NOTE: You can apply without being an ATBC member, but to receive the award, membership is required.
