This field trip will take participants to the stunning Lake Kivu region in western Rwanda. The first stop will be Napoleon Island, a small, picturesque island located in the middle of Lake Kivu. After exploring the island, the group will then visit the Environmental Museum, which is situated along the shores of Lake Kivu.

The day will begin with a boat ride to Napoleon Islands, a unique and tranquil destination. On the island, participants will have the opportunity to explore its natural wonders, including the Bat Island, monkey island, lush vegetation, diverse birdlife, and the remnants of an old castle that once stood there. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful ambiance, take in the panoramic views of the lake, and learn about the island's fascinating history and ecological significance.

After the island visit, the group will then head to the Environmental Museum, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to showcasing Rwanda's rich biodiversity and environmental conservation efforts. At the museum, participants will embark on an interactive and educational journey, learning about the country's diverse ecosystems, the threats facing its natural resources, and the innovative solutions being implemented to protect them.
